Oren

Oren is the 1st character, and the 1st beat in the Sprunki AU and mod, '''sprunt.'''

Appearance

Normal Mode

Oren is an orange alien Sprunki, of the same species as Simon. She has upright antennae on the top of her head, and a headphones on her ears, which while not visible, are rounded, unlike Simon's. She has a tuft of curly hair on her head, and downwards facing eyelashes on her eyes. She wears a black shirt, and brown sweatpants. She possesses paws on her feet, again like Simon. Her head floats, as does Simon's.

Horror Mode

Her horror mode's appearance is the same as canon Oren's, with her chest being split open blood eagle style, only more detailed.

Personality

Oren is laid-back, cool, and chill. She isn't very emotive or expressive, especially not with her antenna, with her face defaulting to a chill looking face. Though she can look upset, if she truly is.

She is kind and considerate, but she struggles to follow orders fully, as she mostly does what she wants, or flatout doesn't hear what she is being told. However, she will listen to whatever her fiancee Pinki tells her, because she greatly respects her, and even quit drinking at the bar and frat parties because of Pinki's fear of losing her to alcohol poisoning.

She is quite talented in music, or so she thinks, in addition to skateboarding, her other talent, and likes to play songs she makes for Pinki, and also her friend group. She likes to play with electronic music in particular, and sometimes drums. She DJs as a hobby, sometimes, too.

She doesn't have the best of social skills, but she manages anyway.

Biography

Oren came to the Sprunki planet over half a decade ago, along with Simon, her best friend and equivalent to a QPP, with him being her platonic better half and confidant. She and Simon met Raddy and Durple shortly after arriving from her home planet, and the four of them all became close friends before long.

She met Pinki while skateboarding with the Bros™️one day, and quite literally fell head over heels for her. Onto her face. Pinki was the one to treat her injuries at the ER, as she is a nurse. Oren is the one who fell first for Pinki, and she also was the one to propose their engagement several years into their relationship.

Before Oren and Pinki had begun to date, Oren began questioning her gender upon seeing women, as she is from a species that does not have any sort of gender presentation at all, but she felt vaguely connected to femininity, before realising from Mard, her eventual boss, that women can be and present as masculine but still be woman. She had a brief hyperfeminine phase, and Pinki helped her comfortably explore her identity, before she settled on being a butch lesbian upon her realisation, with Mard's vague assisstance, that she could be a stud. She is very happy with her identity, and Pinki is very supportive, as are all their friends.

Oren works as a combination fry-cook cashier at MardDonalds, along with Gray. Sometimes the two of them hang out outside of work, and they both love to slack on the job and do things they really shouldn't be doing.

When the horror mode apocalypse happens, Oren is one of the last to die, before Sky and Tunner, but after many others. Wenda makes her death very personal and violent, mutilating her, as she hates her due to her being close to Gray, and also because she is jealous of Pinki for being truly happy with her partner. Pinki never forgives Wenda for Oren's death and her own injury and blinding by Wenda's hands, even as she begins to move on after horror mode.

Relationships

Pinki

Oren and Pinki are very close, due to being engaged. They have been dating for a little less than half a decade, and Oren is head-over-heels in love with her, as is Pinki for her. They got engaged shortly before horror mode happened, and were to get married the following year, with them being one of two openly gay couples of the small town they live in, Ariosso. Oren is the one who fell first, having fallen in love with her at first sight, and Pinki fell a bit later, after they were very close. When Oren is not at work, and not with her friends, she is usually around Pinki. Oren loves to play songs she writes for Pinki, even if they are bad.

Simon

Simon and Oren are also very close, with them being best friends. They were the only two each other knew, for the longest time, almost her entire life, and all of Simon's. They might've even been vatmates, being incubated from the same batch, though Simon for much longer. Simon is like a platonic life-partner to Oren, and they are each other's closest confidant, like Pinki and Vineria are to each other. They are not attracted to each other, however, despite Simon being a hopeless romantic, as they view each other closer to a sort of platonic life-partner than to lovers. That and, Oren is a lesbian.

Raddy and Durple

Raddy and Durple are Oren's closest friends, with them being her Bros. They were the first two to greet her and Simon as they arrived, and the four of them are a friend group. Durple and Oren in particular are very close, and they love to do stupid shit together, with Simon sometimes joining in, with Raddy usually being the voice of reason of the four of them. Usually. The four of them love to dick around, and also play video games together.

Raddy is secretly attracted to Oren, but never acts on it because he is taken, and also because he is happy with his relationship, and she is happy with hers, and he respects her and her relationship. That, and Oren is a lesbian.

Gray

Gray is Oren's coworker, and vaguely her friend. Gray doesn't often get close to people, but he will sometimes hang out with Oren outside of work. The times they do hang out outside of work, they are usually getting high. Sometimes they do this on the job, too. They don't really talk about their feelings together much, though.

Mard

Mard is Oren's boss, and friend. He is, despite not being much older than her, her role-model of sorts, as he is the one to explain to her gender identities to an extent, and guide her on how to deal with society in general. Mard also is very, very lax at punishing her for goofing off on the job, which results in her viewing him more favorably. They don't really hang out together outside of work after she gets a job working for him, but they do talk sometimes off of the job. She sort of views him as family, as a result.

Wenda

Oren is not very close to Wenda, with the two of them barely talking. But Wenda does not at all like Oren, as she is both jealous of the fact she is happy with Pinki, and she finds Pinki attractive, and also that Oren is too close, in her mind, to her sugarbear, Gray. Oren's death, as a result, is very violent, due to being at Wenda's hands.

Trivia

• Oren is a transfem butch lesbian. She takes estrogen (which she sometimes snorts at her buddies' approval), having realised she was a woman shortly after being introduced to the idea of women existing. She had a brief hyper-feminine phase, before Mard introduced her to the idea of butch lesbians.
• Oren is engaged to Pinki. Oren was the one to propose, being a sort of hopeless romantic.
• Oren works at some undetermined fast-food restaurant, along with Gray. She frequently gets people's orders wrong due to either not paying attention, or being high as balls along with Gray.
• Oren's antennae do not really emote, unlike Simon's.
• Oren likes to skateboard, and when she first saw Pinki, she faceplanted off her board onto the ground. The nurse that treated her injuries at the ER also happened to be Pinki. She fell for Pinki first, quite literally.
• Oren and Simon are the same species of genotypically sexless aliens, though ones that default to he/him pronouns. Sort of like the opposite of Steven Universe gems.
• Oren likes to make music as a hobby. She likes to serenade Pinki with her shitty FLStudio beats.
• Oren's headphones hide her ears, which are rounded like a Splatoon octolings. This is unlike Simon's, which are pointy.
• Oren is autistic.
• Oren speakz with an alien accent, like zimon.
• It is possible, if Oren wasn't with Pinki, that she would have been with Durple.
• In a HumanSprunk AU, Oren would be Afro-Latina.
