Tunner is the 14th character, and the 5th melody in the Sprunki AU and mod, '''sprunt.'''

Appearance

Normal Mode

Tunner is a tan horned lizard Sprunki with 4 floppy downward ears like a hound dog, his other heritage. He wears a brown stetson cowboy hat, a tan bandana, the same color as his skin's markings, and a belt with his gun holster on it. He has a short tail, with the longest part having broken off. He has darker tan spines and markings on portions of his body, including his ears. He wears brown gloves on his hands. He has a spiny beard on his chin, and a reptilian loking mouth.

Horror Mode

Tunner has a gunshot wound in his forehead, and his face is slumped over and droopy, as he has had a stroke from being shot. His death was slow and painful, and he looks pained because of it.

Personality

Tunner is just some guy. He likes to sleep, with him being rather lazy, and he likes to eat good food, with him being a major foodie, and he especially likes to drink, with him frequenting the bar. He is rather outspoken in what he has as views, and attempts to be as just as possible, even though he is a lazy asshole, with him frequently sleeping on his job. He is lax when it comes to punishment, just like how he is lax with other parts of his life, and is the parent Sky can finagle into giving her stuff or doing stuff for her, especially cooking, because she knows he will always take a share of it himself, and therefore will not be adverse to doing it.

Tunner is normally friendly and talkative, being known as a yapper and a gossip, similar to his close friend, Clukr. He is loyal to a fault to his friends, and it is very hard to make him turn against you after building that sort of trust with him.

Tunner had a rough past, being abandoned before hatching by his mother, or maybe father, we don't really know, and being left to fend for himself. For a while, he was coping badly with this, in addition to his past of being a outlaw, and suffered from many mental disorders as a result, though now they have mostly mellowed out now that he has entered his 40s. When suffering from a episode however, he becomes highly selective of empathy, and does not really talk to much of anyone besides Jevin, his partner, and rarely Sky. He is more prone to talk to Jevin, than to Sky, though he is not completely incapable of doing the latter.

Tunner is confident in his identity as a gay man, but is not open about it, due to the fact he was raised in an environment where it was not a comfortable thing to be. He never had any issue with the fact he was born with hyperandrogenism due to being incubated at an inaccurate temperature, and always assumed he was a man until puberty, continuing to identify as one even after the fact. He is secure in all of his relations to queerness, unlike his partner, Jevin.

Tunner collects firearms, but is a rather poor shot himself, struggling to aim anymore because of shaking that got worse as he aged. Despite this, he always carries a pistol on him, citing his paranoia as the reason why. Why he does this is unknown, as Ariosso is a rather peaceful town, with the most incidents it gets being petty crimes and dumb lawbreaking challenges.

Biography

Tunner was born, with several other siblings, to a clutch of eggs by whoever his parents were. They hatched alone, being left to fend for themselves, with little contact with each other after going their seperate ways as soon as they could. As a result, most of them ended up completely homeless and without families, including Tunner. This led to him taking up a life of crime, robbing people for their belongings, mostly money and food, so he could simply survive and not die. He meets a much younger Jevin one day, and attempts to rob him, but upon realising Jevin had nothing on him but the clothes on his back, he made a fatal mistake: he took pity on someone for the first time, after years of building a hardened heart, and was forever changed by that simple error. He takes Jevin to a small town nearby, where they both briefly stay, becoming friends before Tunner goes his own seperate way.

Months later, Jevin finds him once again homeless, but now starving and miserable because he cannot bring himself to harm anyone anymore, not even for food, having built a sort of conscience from sparing Jevin from his wrath. Jevin offers him to stay with him at his new house in another small town, and Tunner oblidges, not having anything better to do. The two of them co-habit for a while, before Tunner builds his own cabin not too far from Jevin's house, which he is never at, spending almost all his free time at Jevin's place.

While co-habiting together, the two of them develop fondness for each other, and despite Jevin finding Tunner attractive first, their relationship does not start until Tunner confesses himself after catching feelings, though it takes a bit longer for Jevin to say "I love you." back.

Sometime after the two have been together a while, a foundling is discovered in the forest outside the town, who Tunner and Jevin discover is a missing child from the town Jevin is from, and Jevin does not want to take it back there because he has explained in extensive detail to Tunner how badly he was treated there, and fears the same will happen to Sky if he returns it there. The two of them, but particularly Jevin, decide to adopt it and raise it as their own.

Tunner runs for sheriff-elect shortly after building his cabin, and somehow wins. He makes it his goal to be as lazy as possible on the job, and doesn't end up catching many criminals, not that a huge police force is really needed for a town of less than 100 people. The most crime he sees is a few years after he's elected, when Raddy, with a disdain for authority, begins vandalizing the sheriff's office with not very nice words referring to Tunner. He arrests Raddy, who then escapes his one week in jail by cutting his way out of the window with a horn he broke off, and then runs to the bar after being kicked out of his parents' house due to getting in trouble with the law again, where Tunner finds him and learns he doesn't have the greatest background. Tunner takes pity on him, and says he will let him go free, especially because he views him as similar to himself in his younger years. This starts a intergenerational friendship between the two of them, that has Raddy view Tunner as almost like a surrogate father.

Tunner is at no shortage of being friends with people, and he frequently strikes up conversation with others, meeting Clukr and Garnold shortly after they build their workplace, though not as soon as they moved in. He becomes close friends with them very quickly, and introduces them to his partner, Jevin, after admitting he is also a homosexual, though not open about it. The four of them were so close, that Tunner shortly before Garnold's death planned to propose to Jevin and invite the two of them, in addition to Raddy and his friends.

Tunner also knows Vineria and Pinki, having gone to buy produce and baked goods from them, being fairly close with the two of them, though it's just to be friendly. Sometimes he will go by Vineria's farm to take crops himself, with her permission of course, with her viewing him as a sort of family friend.

When Sprunkis start dying in summer of 2025, Tunner is the one to investigate, though with Jevin's help of course, as Tunner cannot drive by himself. He gets more and more paranoid as people close to him start getting injured, and especially as more and more people begin dying. His paranoia reaches its breaking point when he and Jevin's ward, Sky is killed by Wenda on the way home from school one day, with her friend Fun Bot having witnessed it, but being unable to properly tell the two of them what happened.

Not too long after Clukr's death, Tunner and Jevin attempt to flee town unnoticed, getting intercepted by Wenda on the way out. She challenges him to a gunfight duel to decide whether Jevin lives or dies, with her having stolen one of his pistols from his collection. He attempts to play fair, but she fires before the countdown is finished, and shoots him in the forehead. This does not kill him instantly, and he instead dies slowly and painfully of a stroke caused by the bullet to his head. Wenda stays around to taunt him as he dies, but when he doesn't respond coherently, or at all, she storms off to take her anger out on Gray. Jevin is with Tunner as he dies, and Tunner uses the last few moments of clarity to tell Jevin that he loves him, and that he knows he will be okay.

Relationships

Jevin

Jevin and Tunner are probably the closest person to each other. They are not very open about their feelings, except to each other, with each of them knowing the other like an open book, and sharing just about everything they think with each other. Jevin doesn't emote very much, but Tunner can read every micro-expression on his face, and tell you exactly what he is thinking. When Tunner is at work, he likes to stare and watch Jevin work in the library, sitting in a rocking chair outside the sheriff's office. Jevin likes to listen to Tunner ramble on, and on, about things, while Jevin sits and listens. The two of them like to lean on each other and read books, or sleep, while sitting outside the town. Tunner is more physically affectionate than Jevin, though neither of them enjoy PDA at all, though Tunner will sometimes get oddly touchy-feely with Jevin. Tunner likes to use petnames on Jevin, and also talk about Jevin to others, though he never uses his name, just referring to him as the mysterious partner he has.

When Tunner is killed, Jevin never moves on, not even years after his death.

Sky

Sky is Tunner's ward. She isn't as close to him as she is to Jevin, but she thinks of him as her dad anyway. She thinks he's the easier one to convince to do things for her, because he is already especially lax on punishment, and wants to be liked by her and viewed as the fun dad, so he is more likely to do things for her. Tunner thinks some of Sky's interests are, strange, but is supportive of her anyway. The two of them hibernate at around the same time every winter, and Jevin waits for the two of them to wake up every spring to celebrate holidays with them.

Raddy

Raddy is Tunner's friend, despite the huge difference in their ages. They are bar buddies, even if they get into arguments at times while intoxicated. Tunner views Raddy as a good kid, even if he has a rough and harsh exterior, and will defend him if he ever faces trouble. Raddy views Tunner as a sort of father figure, and wants to stay on his good side due to this, even if sometimes they do find trouble with each other anyway, with Raddy being mostly the one to stay out of trouble within his friend group as a result.

Clukr and Garnold

Clukr and Garnold are Tunner's close friends. The three of them, and Jevin, are gossip buddies. Tunner met the two of them shortly after they built their car repair store, and became close friends with them within hours, gossiping for a long time with Clukr, with Garnold adding input too, rarely, to the point Jevin had to go find him, worried that he lost his phone or something. The four of them were close enough, had Tunner proposed to Jevin, he would've invited them first thing to their wedding.

Tunner is distraught by Garnold's death, which he had to investigate, and even more upset by Clukr's beheading months later. He is not happy by the fact his friends were hurt.

Vineria and Pinki

While not as close to them as other members of the town, Tunner does have fondness for both Vineria and Pinki, respecting their contributions to the town's economy, and especially his stomach, as he frequently buys baked goods and produce from the two of them, and sometimes assists on Vineria's farm, taking a share with her permission, being viewed as a sort of family friend by both of them.

• Tunner is a gay trans man who is also nonbinary in an animal way, with him only really disliking feminine terms being used on him. He is also acespec, being grayasexual, though it is not mentioned on his bio.
• Tunner has a southern accent.
• Tunner has ADHD, and DPDR, and depression and paranoia.
• Tunner has hyperandrogenism, even when he was a child, due to his egg being incubated at an improper temperature for his genotypical and internal sex.
• Tunner is on testosterone, and if he had breasts at all, would've had top surgery.
• Tunner is an alcoholic, and a smoker, and a gambler. But the worst of his vices is by far being a drunk.
  • Tunner is a stupid drunk.
• Tunner has little horns under his hat.
• Tunner showers with his hat on, even if Jevin is also batheing with him. He argues it gets it clean with him.
  • Tunner sleeps without his hat, however.

• If Jevin was killed instead of him, Tunner would fall into a deep depression and become a genuine alcoholic instead of a drunk.

• Tunner likes to brag about Jevin to people, even without saying his true identity to people he isn't out to, only calling him his partner.
• Tunner has a very bad sleep schedule, and will be awake at insanely late hours either drinking, watching TV, or talking to Clukr and Garnold. Then, in morning when Jevin is about to get up, he will crawl into their bed and cuddle him before sleeping the rest of the day. If it's a day where he has a shift however, he will sleep normally.
  • He also has a bad habit of sleeping outside during the day to bask in the sun, which is bad for him because if night falls, he will die of exposure, so Jevin has to go grab and carry him to his house and place him in their bed so he doesn't die. And then he lays down beside him, and goes to sleep.
• Tunner uses Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap 18 in 1 Soap because he can use it for Anything, and it feels like it's like burning off his skin, which he enjoys. Jevin thinks its a carcinogen, however.
• Tunner likes to eat bugs. Sky also likes to eat bugs.
• Tunner's tail falls off when it grows too long, because he doesn't like it long. And then he eats the fallen off piece, which he sometimes offers to share with Jevin, who usually says no.
• Tunner cries blood, and shoots it when scared, because he is a horny toad.
• Tunner sheds his scales, which Jevin likes to peel off him to help him with it.
• Tunner likes to sleep ontop of Jevin, but also likes to be the little spoon when they cuddle.
