Garnold

Garnold is the 8th character, and the 3rd effect in the Sprunki AU and mod, '''sprunt.'''

Appearance

Normal Mode

Garnold is a gold human Sprunki, wearing a black and cyan tracksuit, in addition to a gold, black, and cyan boots, and black fingerless gloves. Under the suit, and visible on his head, as well as his neck, is his robotic exoskeleton suit, made by his husband, Clukr. His helmet's screen can display images, as well as words, which he manipulates using his emotions and thoughts, using skin sensors.

Horror Mode

His helmet's screen is cracked, and his head is split open, being the victim of a car accident, caused by Wenda cutting his brakes.

Personality

At first glance, Garnold seems to have everything in his life put together. He acts aloof to everything, and doesn't talk much, being rather blunt when he does. Sometimes he will use emotion when reassuring others, but other than that he uses a mostly monotone voice. He has a macho/hypermasculine, jocky and cocky personality, and is rather upfront about this fact, making his husband work on their vehicles with his supervision to make them louder (and more obnoxious) to emphasize their "masculinity." He is crude and crass, especially with his husband. He will act annoyed if he is being flirted with by his husband, but secretly does enjoy it.

In reality, this is all a front. He is quiet because he is deeply insecure about himself, his personality, and especially his body. He detests the fact he is a human, and wishes he were a robot, like his children, or a bug, like his husband. He has had this opinion of himself since he was very small, before he even met Clukr.

If you get close enough to know Garnold outside of his front, which literally only one person has, you will learn he is secretly very nerdy, very autistic, and that he is quiet because he does not like himself. He has very low self esteem despite acting like he views himself rather highly, and both detests the fact he is incapable of making natural noise, being infertile, his body is wrong to him, and that he is clearly obviously stereotypically gay and autistic, or as he puts it, retarded.

Despite all this, he will insult others that make him angry on the road, and might say some not very nice things about them, with this being the only time he will truly showcase himself without a front.

Biography

Garnold was born a loser. He was quite obviously autistic, and was not coddled for it despite this, as he was frequently getting bullied for being a dweeb and a nerd, having a much meeker demeanor, being anxious and struggling to speak out and defend himself. He hid away into himself, as much as he could by masking, and especially did upon realising he was both infertile, lacking a sound, and also gay. He also hated himself even more, because he did not want to be a human, as he was mostly surrounded by animals, as are most Sprunkis. He was always into robotics and engineering, and general sciences, but this also got him bullied because he was nerdy.

At some point, he enrolls in an engineering school when he is an older teenager, and meets Clukr. He does NOT like Clukr, finding his voice annoying, and that he is way too interested in Garnold's life, with Garnold thinking he wants to learn his issues to take advantage of him and bully him like everyone else in his life has up to this point. Unfortunately for Garnold, his assigned roommate is Clukr, so he has to spend even more time with him outside of classes. Eventually Garnold does come around to him, and confides in him that he is a deeply self-loathing man, and that he especially hates that he cannot make any noise, that he is not able of hiding his emotions very well, which he compares to wanting to be a robot, which causes the gears in Clukr's head to turn, and that he is not happy about being homosexual. Clukr says he will do what he can, and asks him to teach him how robotics work, which Garnold does. Later, Clukr surprises him with a helmet, coded with his favorite color cyan as the accent, so he can hide his face, saying he will work on the rest of the suit eventually, and that he wants to know what noise he would want for himself, as he is also incapable of making noise, but he can help him in this way, if he so wishes. Garnold is shocked by this, but very happy regardless, and the two of them become close friends as a result, with Garnold beginning to build a sense of self after getting his full exoskeleton.

Before they were an item, the two of them build a PC, as they are assigned to, but it ends up somehow being sapient, and Mr. Fun Computers is born, and calls the two of them his parents. Clukr and Garnold feel forced to stay together after their schooling ends as a result, but before they even graduate they end up dating, and they get married shortly after.

They move to a small town, Ariosso, and meet brud and its father, Mr. Black shortly after, becoming close friends with both of them. Soon after this, they create their second, and first intentional, child Fun Bot, and it has a personality similar to Garnold did in his younger years, though this was not intentional on either of their parts'.

They meet Tunner upon opening their mechanic shop together, with Clukr talking up a storm with Tunner, getting along quite well with him, with Tunner introducing them to his partner the same day, upon learning the two of them were also a gay couple, though much more open about it. The four of them are all good friends, though the other two are not aware of Clukr and Garnold's friendship with Mr. Black, though their daughter is.

In June of 2025, Garnold is the first casuality of the murder spree by Wenda, with her cutting his brakes to his car to make his car go flying off the cliff while he is driving. Clukr is not very happy about this.

Relationships

Clukr

Clukr and Garnold are very close, being each other's only friend for a very long time, in addition to each other's closest, probably. The two of them can truly be themselves with each other, and Clukr is the one person Garnold will not put up his front around, when he's alone with him. Clukr likes to make Garnold overheat, so he will take off his helmet, which Garnold does not like to do, as he hates himself, but sort of makes it a game with Clukr, where he will only take it off if he flusters him enough. The two of them find each other mutually attractive, as one would hope from a married couple of over a decade, and have two children together.Clukr helps Garnold come out of his shell, even just a bit, around others, and helped him build a sense of self for himself. The two of them work on their vehicles together, though with Clukr doing the majority of the work, as Garnold supervises, which often ends in them staying up quite late at night.

Fun Bot and Mr. Fun Computers

Fun Bot and Mr. Fun Computers are Garnold's children with Clukr. Mr. Fun Computers feels sort of neglected by Clukr and Garnold, as he was never given a real body like his sibling. Garnold considers it at times, but Clukr doesn't believe it is capable, without completely lobotomizing MFC. This makes the two of them very sad, but they have outfitted his monitor with a claw, and a vague body to move around.

Fun Bot is very similar to Garnold, especially in his younger years. It is meek and shy like he was, but it has began to be more confident as time went on. Garnold is very proud of them, even if he has never spoken this aloud.

Tunner and Jevin

Tunner is closer to Clukr than Garnold, but he is still close to him anyway. Frequently, the three of them will stay up late at night talking on the phone, and in a way, Tunner reminds Garnold of Clukr, in the way they both yap way too much, though he is just his friend. Tunner had told Clukr and Garnold that he was planning to propose to Jevin, shortly before Garnold's murder.

Garnold and Jevin are close, but they both don't talk very much. Sometimes they talk about their partners, and the fact the two of them are both the only humans in Ariosso, which they noticed about each other very early on, even before the two of them truly met.

brud and Mr. Black

brud is the sort of guy who is friends with almost everyone, and it is both friends with Garnold and Clukr, though Clukr is closer to it than Garnold is.

Her father, Mr. Black is also friends with the two of them, with the three of them meeting early morning every day to gossip about things about their town. Garnold doesn't add very much to the conversation, but enjoys the company regardless, and will nod, listening to the two of them speak, and thinking both of them look handsome.

Trivia

• Garnold is a cis gay man, and is married to Clukr.
• Garnold's aspiration was mechanics and engineering, with him teaching Clukr about it due to him being autistic about it, and especially about car-modding, his favorite.
• Garnold's favorite color is cyan, which Clukr coded the display in his "fursuit" to be.
• Garnold is the one who you could say, "wears the pants", in he and Clukr's relationship.
• Garnold is autistic.
• Garnold and Clukr will stay up incredibly late working on their cars, and will talk to Tunner on the phone while doing so.
• Garnold dies in a car accident, after Wenda cuts his brakes. He is the first death chronologically, with Clukr being decapitated a few months after. This makes Tunner and Jevin deeply upset, and even suspect that someone specifically targetted them because they were a gay couple, as nobody else has been targetted at that point.
• Garnold and Clukr will stay up incredibly late working on their cars, and will talk to Tunner on the phone while doing so.
• Garnold has species dysphoria, and his desired species is a robot, rather than the human he is. This is why his child is so robotic looking, instead of looking much like either of their parents, which they could've built them to resemble, but they didn't.
• Garnold wears glasses when not in his helmet, which functions as a visual aid for him as well, being farsighted. He doesn't like wearing glasses, and will wear his helmet even when he really shouldn't, basically only taking it off to shower. Or if Clukr makes him overheat.
• Garnold likes to watch sports (especially racing) on TV. And throw Monster energy drinks at Clukr, because it makes a stupid noise when they hit his cymbal, which makes him laugh.
• Garnold uses extremely short, and blunt sentences, getting to the point immediately, but still ends up talking a lot, though not as much as Clukr.
• Garnold is a fake tsundere, and fake IDGAFer.
• Garnold is a distracted driver, and will do other things while driving. Such as watching car repair videos. Somehow, this isn't what leads to his death, as he is a good driver despite this.
• Had Garnold not died, it is possible that he, Clukr, and Mr. Black would have all become an item, as the three of them were very close regardless.
• In a HumanSprunk AU, Garnold would be a White American, of German descent.
