Appearance

Normal Mode

Mr. Black is a black humanoid Sprunki with white accents, made of smoke, which presents as fire. Instead of legs, Mr. Black has fire coming off him, though Mr. Black can have legs if Mr. Black so chooses. Mr. Black has a wide brimmed black top hat with a white ribbon, and a white tie, the only parts of his design that are not made of his "flesh". Mr. Black has a red tinge to the bottom of his body, and this carries into Horror Mode, though it becomes more pronounced.

Horror Mode

Mr. Black is now tall, with wide eyes, and more red in his design.

Personality

Mr. Black is near-universally thought of as violent and ominous, and assumed to not care about anybody in the world. He is best described as a troll, though, not pure evil, because he does and causes things to happen because merely, It amuses him. He prefers to cause other people to do his dirty work, with him being a supervisor at worst. He hates the vast majority of the Sprunkis in the town he lives in, with just a few exceptions.

It is his nature to cause bad things to happen, as he naturally emits a downcast aura to others, but this does not mean he is incapable of feeling genuine affection for others. It is rare, but sometimes he will genuinely get attached to someone, out of pity, out of love, or out of friendship. This did not happen before recently, and he viewed himself as incapable of affection due to it. Mr. White was the first to get attached to him, after the two of them were rivals in regards to cleaning up each other's messes for a century. He reciprocated his advances, but Mr. Black was not as nearly attached to him as someone he meets later.

He is not omniscient, nor omnipotent, though he is capable of spying on people to gain intel as he can turn invisible if he so pleases. The extent his powers go are the previously mentioned, shapeshifting, though incapable of changing his color, mimicing sounds and voices, which he does not like to do and is kind of bad at because he continues to talk like himself, and being unable to die unless killed by his other half. The latter applies to Mr. White as well. He also can absorb smoke and fire to become larger, and can be doused with water to be forced to shrink, functioning like a flame, though he can never be fully put out.

He quite literally heats up when flustered, and will turn more visibly red when this happens. Provided he is attached to the person he is courting, he will be very romantic and passionate, but he does not enjoy doing public displays of affection in front of others.

Biography

Mr. Black was born, or rather, reincarnated, as he is one of many incarnations of the same two deities with Mr. White, a bit over two centuries ago. Being the embodiment of evil, as soon as he became capable he began influencing others to cause ruin and despair, with it being cleaned up by his slightly older literal other half.

He formed a cult around himself, a bit over a century before modern times, because he is vaguely narcissistic and enjoys the recognition and ego-boost it gives him. Jevin, Wenda, and Sky are all from this cult, born at varying times in its history.

Sometime before forming the cult, Mr. White expressed the desire to be Mr. Black's friend, which he accepts, being confused by it. The two of them also enter a romantic entanglement, though sometimes they seperate, as Mr. Black secretly goes off to mess with his cult for a year or two, guiding them what to do when it comes time to cause ruin again, as he finds it amusing to see the Sprunkis kill each other. Wenda is the latest in line for the role of killing people, being groomed into it shortly after Sky's parents abandoned her to avoid that fate for her as the original vessel in regards to that prophecy. Jevin was also to be important to Mr. Black's cult, having been born with clairvoyance and wings, evidence of that gift, and was planned to take the role as one of his prophets come the old prophet's retirement. His wings were clipped, to prevent another prophecy of Jevin's abscondment, but not even that prevented it from taking place, with him leaving after hearing another member of the cult said there was a world outside of their small town, and that one of its members had fully escaped, even. Mr. Black hates Jevin due to this, and when the time comes, tells Wenda to cause him as much pain as possible, as he wants to see him suffer.

After stalking Jevin to the small town he now lives in after his abscondment, Mr. Black comes across an orphaned, though by its own stupid actions, baby brud, and takes pity upon it. Besides Mr. White, this is the first bond Mr. Black forms with anyone that isn't negative, and it will not be the last, as he adopts brud and makes himself a home in an abandoned building in the forest outside Jevin's house, to raise them with Mr. White. Jevin is not aware of this.

Shortly after Clukr and Garnold move in to the town, Mr. Black greets them, having heard about their existance from brud. He quickly forms a close bond with both of them, becoming a frequent visitor of theirs and bonding over gossip and literature with Clukr, while Garnold listens intently. Their children are not so much fond of him, but tolerate him anyway. Mr. Black is not honest about his true identity as the embodiment of evil to Clukr and Garnold, as he fears they would stop being his friend due to it. He does tell brud however, who doesn't really seem to care.

Mr. Black also spends some time messing with OWAKCX, as he finds him and his mental disorders amusing to play around with, beginning to influence him to do more and more violent and harmful things, with OWAKCX viewing him as a sort of partner, though Mr. Black did not feel the same. This worsened and sped up the development of OWAKCX's schizophrenia by making him paranoid and on edge, and culminates in him being sent to the mental hospital after attacking Raddy and Tunner, the latter of whom Mr. Black did not instruct him to attack, but he did so anyway, which he found quite hilarious.

In summer of 2025, Mr. Black becomes estranged from Mr. White, having instructed Wenda to begin killing. However, Wenda takes his instructions to cause Jevin as much pain as possible literally, and ends up killing one of both Jevin, and Mr. Black's closest friends, Garnold first. Mr. Black is not pleased by this, and tells her to hold off for another year while he comforts Clukr, his other close friend. This ends in them developing a situationship with each other, as Clukr sees some of Garnold in Mr. Black, in addition to liking him as a friend and finding him handsome previously, as did Garnold.

Wenda gets fed up by what she views as her purpose being delayed and denied, and after three months of this nonsense, she had enough, and beheads Clukr, who dies slowly due to his bug physique, starving to death days before Tunner's death at her hands. Mr. Black is again not pleased with this, and especially not by Tunner and Jevin moving Clukr's body to Jevin's house, where he cannot interact with him at all until moments before his demise, which Mr. Black detects and says goodbye to him during.

Mr. Black remains mostly unengaged in the apocalypse he was meant to cause, even after Clukr is beheaded, up until Mr. White "revives" a cut in half OWAKCX, which intrigues Mr. Black, as he believes if OWAKCX isn't fully dead by Wenda's hands, maybe there is hope for Clukr too, and joins Wenda in her murder spree, trying to get her to recreate the circumstances that led to his death, not knowing Mr. White was behind his "revival". Wenda of course, is glad to kill more people.

When Wenda makes Simon, Durple and almost Raddy abnormal with Mr. Black's guidance, Simon goes and attempts to maul brud, which Wenda does no effort to stop because she does not like him. Mr. Black forces the abnormal Simon off brud himself, and gets annoyed at Wenda again, and after she kills Tunner, the last chronological death, he orders her to kill her boyfriend, who he doesn't like, Gray, with Jevin present with Tunner's body in his arms, but at this point she snaps out of it by Gray pleading with her not to kill him by saying he loves her. This makes Mr. Black very angry, and he attempts to cause the first violence he has ever caused himself to the three of them, only for brud to show up with her other father, Mr. White, who forcibly pacifies him and gets him to stop, making him feel fear for the first time in his life by having the normally docile Mr. White be angry at him.

POST HORROR MODE SPOILERS

After horror mode, Mr. Black reconciles with Mr. White, though their relationship is forever changed, with them being capable of feeling emotions previously incapable to them, such as remorse, and regret, and fear. He also still mourns for the friends he has lost, especially Clukr. He also hates Jevin more than before, even though the two of them mourn the same loved ones, besides Tunner.

Relationships

Mr. White

Mr. White and Mr. Black are each other's other half, quite literally. Mr. White is the embodiment of good, while Mr. Black is the embodiment of evil, and their powers and physical appearance contrast each other, with one of them being capable of causing upset in others with their power, while Mr. White is capable of causing an overwhelming sense of joy you cannot fight back against, if he wants to. The two of them are each other's only friend for quite a while, but Mr. Black begins making his own friends, besides their child in town after a while there, while Mr. White stays mostly isolated with just him, Mr. Black, and their kid. Despite this, at times the two of them still go back to their old ways of hating each other, and end up seperating at random periods, though Mr. White keeps their shared dilapidated house.

brud

brud is Mr. Black's child, being his pride and joy. He is very much fond of it, despite the fact most of the Sprunkis view him as incapable of feeling attachment to anyone, and will do what is best for him. He is their disability advocate, having made sure it could get on disability when it became an adult, and he is probably the most honest about his feelings to brud, despite that being more of a role for a partner, simply because brud won't truly analyze how he feels, and just listens, which he views as a valid input, as he doesn't like to be told he is wrong very much. He supports brud's interest in Wenda and OWAKCX, and wishes the former were closer to his child, as he knows they find her pretty, and hates Gray as a result, even though brud is also close with Gray.

Clukr and Garnold

Clukr and Garnold are Mr. Black's only friends besides brud, and he is deeply fond of both of them, visiting them almost every morning to talk to them, especially Clukr. The two of them greeted him upon meeting his sprog, and they became close friends ever since. The three of them gossip about various topics of the town, and while Garnold adds little input, they always have a good conversation.

After Garnold's death, Mr. Black tries to comfort a grieving Clukr about his loss immediately after Garnold's death is announced, which ends in Clukr getting attached to him, which he accepts, as he was too, though he did not want to ruin Clukr's relationship with his husband while Garnold was alive, as he respected both of the mechanic couple deeply.

Jevin, Tunner, Sky, and Gray

Among the objects of most of Mr. Black's detestion are Jevin and Tunner. Mr. Black detests Jevin as he views he gave up the life he was always meant for in his cult, to go run away and play house with Tunner, who he hates and views as the reason Jevin never came back. Mr. Black especially hates Jevin, enough to instruct Wenda to kill off those close to him first, which she takes as meaning Garnold, his friend, but also Mr. Black's friend. She follows up by beheading Clukr and leaves him for dead, only to learn Jevin and Tunner took him and his family in, so then she kills Sky, who Mr. Black also is not very fond of, due to the fact she personally rejected his offer to join him as one of the killers in his apocalypse shortly before indirectly instructing Wenda to kill Garnold. Lastly, after Clukr finally succumbs to starvation, he instructs her to kill Tunner, so Jevin has nothing left, even as they try to flee Ariosso.

His hatred for Gray is much more petty, as he does not like him due to the fact his child has a crush on Wenda, and views him as being "in the way." for the hypothetical political marriage he pictures between brud and Wenda, though he doesn't care enough to force it on her.

OWAKCX and Wenda

The only other two Sprunkis Mr. Black is fond of, though not exactly FRIENDS with, are Wenda and OWAKCX. He views both of them fondly due to brud's fondness of them, and also finding them important to his plans. He likes to mess with OWAKCX, finding him fun to troll and toy with due to his mental issues. He also is fond of Wenda, because he had several personal talks with her in regards to his plans, though he begins to dislike her after she intentionally goes against his orders because she gets highly fed up with him, being rather impatient.
